Since many Brands don’t have the budget to compete against the big players in sponsoring business, other strategies have emerged. Ambush Marketing is an opportunistic way to create extra exposure at minimal costs.

If they are to be worthy of their stakeholders’ enduring trust, corporate brands need to be managed effectively throughout the life of the company, not just during brand launch. And when you consider what needs to be managed-alignment in all the inter- faces between corporate vision, organizational culture, and stake- holder images-it is clear why corporate brands come to be valued as strategic assets. The combination of vision, culture, and images represents in one way or another everything the organization is, says, and does.

Most viral marketing videos on YouTube are rude than effective. Of course it is difficult to stand out with something if you don’t cross the line. With all of the internet blogs and communication tools around, people communicate less in person and more via the web. There are many people who share the opinion that Twitter is making the world more impersonal than it already is. Marketers of course love marketing tools such like Twitter, but what do they think about it in their own life? If you see this video, you will know that it all started with the small communication in life and staying connected with each other, which seems not so impersonal at all. Where others think Twitter only makes communication impersonal, this short movie shows the opposite. So what is it?
Michael Schumacher is back in the Formula 1 and test drives the new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG “in an extraordinary experiment”. In a time where many car producers play the eco and fuel efficiency card, Mercedes sets on pure power and testosterone in its new interactive YouTube video. Yes: INTERACTIVE YouTube video. Mercedes goes one step further as it allows You Tube visitors to follow Mercedes through a tour of the AMG development area’ the testing of its engine and take the wheel of the SLS AMG. Seems like Mercedes uses You Tube’s and Michael’s help to claim a piece of Ferrari’s sportive image – yes, the SLS shown in this video is red…

Where the MacDonald’s of today now seems one of the unhealthiest places in the world; it used to mean something else for people in the past. A happy, safe and good food restaurant. This commercial is about the products in 1967, the quality and fun MacDonald’s back then guaranteed. It used to be positioned as a happy place, with good food and extra service. These days we associate MacDonald’s as being unhealthy, having poor service and cheap, and MacDonald’s can not even deny that.
Well if you believe this commercial the food isn’t changed at all but it is the way MacDonald’s presents its self. But when did all those changes arise for Macdonald’s? Is it the way they position themselves now days? Or is it just that the world around them changed over the years?
This is a much discussed subject…privacy on the web, does it still exist? Yes, because people who are on the web with their profiles and opinion, choose to. That’s true but particularly as a company it is really difficult to stay out of this, because if you want to sell you need to stand in front line. It is not only putting your products up, but creating your identity through blogs, profiles and social media tools. This makes it really difficult to stay anonymous, not only for companies but as an individual as well. If you don’t have a strong presence online just don’t count anymore…my question is where are the boundaries on privacy? Where do people draw a line?
